FULL TASTING NOTE AND WINE MAKING –
Bodegas Nekeas blanco is a fresh, crisp, light white wine with an appealing aromatic mixture of lemon and tropical
fruit including pineapple notes. It is medium-bodied and it produces a sensation of freshness and purity with enough structure to pair with lighter meals.
The grapes are all machine harvested in this southwest part of the Nekeas Valley where there is more sun
and warmer conditions. They are then fermented in stainless steel tanks after a period of skin contact and maceration for a few hours between 9-11º Centigrade. The wine does not undergo malolactic fermention and oes note undergo any oak ageing.
THE PRODUCER –
Bodegas Nekeas is located in the North of Navarra and here in the Nekeas Valley there is a strong influence from Atlantic Ocean on climate resulting in cool temperatures and thus slow ripening. Their wines are not very typical ofthe region as they have a higher acidity, more freshness and a more elegant style as a result. They grow, harvest, age, bottle and sell all ourselves and only their own grapes. Bodegas Nekeas grow white grapes including Chardonnay, Viura and Garnacha Blanca and red grapes including Garnacha, Tempranillo , Cabernet, Syrah and Merlot. They are a modern and flexible company and 80% of their sales are through export markets.

This wine is a great accompaniment to salads and light fish and white meat dishes.
